Friends & Neighbors:
There are two events Thursday I would like to invite you to in our neighborhood.
First, the dog and people parks at 17th and S/T will be officially opening on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 4:00 pm! The Mayor and the Director of Parks and Recreation will be on hand for the ribbon cutting, and the entire neighborhood is invited - and bring your four-legged friends if you'd like. This has been long in coming, but the construction fences are supposed to come down tomorrow and we couldn't be more excited.
Additionally, I'm hosting a meet-and-greet for Clark Ray, who is running for city council next year At-Large. He would like to hear from residents in our neighborhood about issues that are important to us and what he could do as a city councilmember to change our lives for the better. The event will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm on the roof deck of The Cairo at 1615 Q Street, NW. Light food and beverage will be provided.
