ABRA, the city agency that regulates alcohol licenses, has made a number of enhancements to its web site to help ease individuals' communications with the Agency. From Interim Director Fred Moosally:
I wanted to make you aware of three exciting new changes that can be found on the Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration’s (ABRA’s) website, which is www.abra.dc.gov. These three changes are designed to improve communications between the Agency and the public, including ANC Commissioners and Citizens Associations.
The first change is ABRA’s new E-Feedback Form. This form is intended to allow ANC’s, community organizations, licensees, and members of the public to submit their suggestions to improve the agency both on-line and in real time from the ABRA website. ABRA looks forward to receiving your comments regarding how we can continue to improve.
The second change is the E-Complaint Form. This interactive form allows complainants to file their complaints both on-line and in real time and in their own words. The form also allows the complainant to remain anonymous. In addition to being submitted on-line, both the E-Feedback Form and E-Complaint Form can also be faxed to the agency at (202) 442-9563.
The third change is the creation of an ABC Information handbook that puts in plain English the rules and regulations that licensees are required to follow. This is a more detailed version of the ABRA Fact sheets placed on ABRA’s website earlier this year. This handbook marks the first time that the Agency has had an actual handbook. Please e-mail ABRA’s Community Resource Officer Cynthia Simms at cynthia.simms@dc.gov if you would like an electronic copy of this handbook. The handbook is also located on the ABRA website under the information section.
