It's just 8 days until the election and things are going great! Today my street signs came in, and I'm putting some up tonight in time for the High Heel Race tomorrow night. My campaign chairman has graciously agreed to help me put them up. Watch for photos tomorrow!
On the policy side of things, I've had a few conversations about a potential business that's trying to locate in Dupont and some problems they've faced. More about that at an appropriate time. I've also been following the Tony Hunter case - there are some major issues there and I will continue to follow the case and post updates from time to time. There are major problems with how the case is being handled, and GLOV is working diligently on the issue. I'm also having some conversations with folks on the marriage equality issue, and intend to be helpful on that issue in the next Council Period.
I think I'll be canvassing for Mark Long this weekend, and on election day I'll be handing literature out for Councilmember Kwame Brown. I'm doing some thank you's for all of the people who have generously donated to my campaign as well.
More soon!
